Swamp to the City (Days 4,5,6) Dallas

The past three days in Dallas have really been one big holiday. I survived Dallas traffic, almost got abducted by a spaceship (pictured above), skated at one of the largest skateparks in the Dallas area and attended another amazing My Morning Jacket show at the Palladium Ballroom. Just when you think you've reached the epic peak of the concert going experience you step on a land mine and it blows you to stellar heights.

As they played the early moments of their encore performance they went into a cover of Erykah Badu's "Tyrone" and by the second verse a shadow emerged from the side stage with hair three times the size of a beach ball and that's when the crowd just lost it in disbelief. Not disbelief that Erykah Badu was on stage but because at that point it was hard to believe there was anything that could make this experience even better than it already was.
