I Arrived in Austin, Texas today. Had a beer at 6th street's Coyote Ugly, not because I enjoy the atmosphere but because there were 6 other motorcycles parked out front and thought that my cargo should be safe. Of the 6 other bikes, 5 were Harleys and 1 was a flat-black Honda dual-sport with spikes on the front/rear fenders and a painting of a treasure map on the gas tank. I tried not to stand out.
It seems everyone here has some sort of tattoo, and everyone here has there own opinion of where to go to have a good time or see a good show. So I called a couple of friends and Nick said I should go see Vanessa Lively play at MoMo's. It was a little past 7:00 when I got there and I was one of five people including Vanessa and the guy at the door. She played alot of originals and covered a few songs including Bob Dylan's "Man in the long black coat" and Gillian Welch's "One More Dollar".
I soon decided I was hungry, so I rode around till I found a place I liked. When I arrived to where I would soon consume my evening nourishment of Raw fish and rice, my old friend Charles calls and say's that if I ride up to Dallas (3.5 hours north east of Austin) he'll buy me a ticket to see My Morning Jacket on Saturday night.
